SABRIC is a Non-Profit Company based in Midrand, established to combat crime in the Banking & Cash in Transit industries. 

The company facilitates interbank collaboration and interfaces with a range of external organisations and public and private partners, most notably to progress crime risk mitigation initiatives.

The company has a challenging opportunity and is looking to appoint a Book Keeper

This is a key role reporting to the Accountant

Job Purpose:

To assist the Accountant with financial processing and reports to enhance the financial performance and maintain adequate cash flows of the organisation.

Qualifications

BCom Accounting degree or equivalent

Experience

Five years’ experience in the accounting field up to Balance Sheet

Knowledge & Skills Required:

Must have Accpac experience

Proficiency in Microsoft applications

Key Responsibilities:

Account Reporting

  • Petty cash management
  • Facilitate procurement of goods and services
  • Accurate management of Creditors and Debtors
  • Update and maintain the General Ledger
  • Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
  • Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers
  • Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transaction
  • Monitor any variances from the project budgets
  • Assist with Asset Management

Legislative Accounting

  • Regularly update and maintain legislature to comply with reporting requirements

Compliance

Adhere to all Financial policies, follows relevant pre-defined processes.

Create or enhance processes where applicable.

Audits complete with a satisfactory achievement rating

Working Conditions:

Must have a vehicle and driver’s license.  Under normal operating conditions, this role will work to the usual organizational policies and norms.  Able to work extended hours when required. Ability to work remotely.
